State whether the following statement is true or false.

A conifer may have both male and female reproductive structures on its trees.
A. True
B. False
That's Correct!
It's Wrong!

A conifer may have both male and female reproductive structures on the same tree. Some conifers, though, may not have a female cone, but the pollen can be transferred to other trees and the female cones.

The male cones produce the pollen. The pollen then is blown onto and into the female structure, either on the same plant if available, or on another plant. The pollen enters the ovary to fertilize the eggs. After one year, a woody cone is formed.
